Multi-purpose post! SF Design’s November freebie, dollarbie capris, plus a shoe-colouring tutorial

Phew! Talk about cramming stuff into one post! OK, let’s begin with the clothing first.

SF Design has a new freebie out for November: the snuggly-warm Cable Knit Sweater and Scarf in a lovely autumnal green. There is a free version in both the ladies and gents sections of the store, so boys don’t forget to pick up one for yourself!

Mar has teamed that sweater with a great dollarbie bargain from SL Marketplace: Double F’s Capris and Capri Shorts in Midnight. You’ll get two lengths in the pack: classic capris, and shorts.

Finally, Mar’s shoes are from the free Monochrome Classic Pumps set, by Plausible Body. She’s actually wearing the white pair here, but has used a nifty little freeware program to help her colour-match them exactly to the SF Design sweater. Hop behind the cut to see how to do that!

Baby Monkey does slingbacks!

Ladies, we all need a classic pair of slingbacks in our inventories. Whether we’re going for that vintage look, or just want a pair of shoes we can wear with everything, from skirts to pants to formal evening gowns. Slingbacks are the Swiss Army Knife of shoes!

Pixieplumb of Baby Monkey has just remodelled her store (and it looks fabulous) and has set out a new group gift. New collection at The Dressing Room

It’s that time again! A new collection of designer cheapies has been released at The Dressing Room. Mainly items for the girls, but guys there’s a fabulous hairstyle from CheerNo for you, so hop over and check it out.

Mar’s showcasing the new Helena 04 skin (L$65)  from Tuli, the Ballone Dress Lilac (L$60) from R.icielli, and the Cala Saona shoes (L$60) from Your Skin & Your Shape. Note: the dress is a bit longer than this, but I preferred to wear it as a top with jeans, so I shortened it and moved the little tie section up.

Hey there, Cinderella. Got a ball to go to and you’re still in your newbie rags? Some pretties for holiday Monday

Baby Monkey has a sweet little pair of Cute Button Wedges for just L$10 at the desk inside the door. Mar’s teamed them with the L$10 Katiuscia dress in peach, from the Glam Affair/Beauty Avatar Couture discount room (see this post for how to get there). You’ll need to edit the skirt of the dress; see towards the end of this post for instructions (it’s really simple!)

Pixel pretties and a giggle

For a very limited time only, Pixeldolls have two samples of dresses available free at their Nakama location. For a while now, at their mainstore location, they have been giving a sample of their new releases in a single colour, so that customers can try them out. Mar headed over to the Nakama location to pick up the new dresses, and they’re gorgeous.

These are free for a very limited time. You’ll find them on the floor under the main ads for the dresses. But that’s not all you can pick up at that location! Hop behind the cut for some lovely retro-style swimsuits that double as nice tops, plus a giggly gift from Baby Monkey’s group.

Summer Blues

SF Design has its new July freebies for men and women out, and both are fabby sarongs (c’mon boys; get your Beckham on! *g*) and prim-toed Ramses sandals with a great HUD for skin and pedicure colour customisation. Mar’s teamed hers with a L$1 tank top from the upstairs discount section at A Piece of Candy, and a L$10 tote bag from the upstairs discount section at Baby Monkey. Now all I need is a beach!

All that glitters…

…is the July group gift from Dany French Touch. The group is free to join, but if you’re maxed out on groups then this and the freebie for men are both also available (for L$1 each) at the Dany French Touch store (along with lots of other great dollarbies).

The dress is called Mona and Mar has teamed it with R2 Fashion’s gold Kahakai shoes (L$90). Every girl needs a pair of gold slingbacks in her inventory! Mar’s hair is the 101 Hair by White Well, and it’s free at Savoir Hair.
