Multi-purpose post! SF Design’s November freebie, dollarbie capris, plus a shoe-colouring tutorial

Phew! Talk about cramming stuff into one post! OK, let’s begin with the clothing first.

SF Design has a new freebie out for November: the snuggly-warm Cable Knit Sweater and Scarf in a lovely autumnal green. There is a free version in both the ladies and gents sections of the store, so boys don’t forget to pick up one for yourself!

Mar has teamed that sweater with a great dollarbie bargain from SL Marketplace: Double F’s Capris and Capri Shorts in Midnight. You’ll get two lengths in the pack: classic capris, and shorts.

Finally, Mar’s shoes are from the free Monochrome Classic Pumps set, by Plausible Body. She’s actually wearing the white pair here, but has used a nifty little freeware program to help her colour-match them exactly to the SF Design sweater. Hop behind the cut to see how to do that!

Marketplace dollarbies: Son!a – Rosalinda Dress

I was browsing through SL Marketplace’s freebies and dollarbies last night, and found some great stuff. Here’s one beautifully-elegant gown for just L$1 from Son!a:

Keep elegantly warm with Gabriel

Gabriel have a limited time offer on a beautiful fur stole and gloves set. The gloves come in both short and long versions, and the whole set is available for just L$1. You can only find this at the SuperELITE Japan Fashion Week location. You’ll need to be wearing a flight feather or flight assist to get up there (it’s at over 3000m) and may need to take the teleport twice (I did!) If you land closer to the ground, just take the teleport again and you should be up at the location.

The offer is available until 6th November only.

A Halloween gifty from Truth Hair

Ladies, go slap the Subscribe-o-matic at Truth Hair (and if you’ve not already joined, then hit ‘Subscribe’). Slap it again and click ‘History’, then look for the notice dated October 28th. Click the relevant numbered button, and (after some considerable lag, as the store is heaving right now) you’ll be sent a package. Head for a less busy place to open it, and inside you’ll find eight bright colours of Truth’s Cleo hair, together with a further eight (same) colours in streaked versions.

I’m so sad to blog about yet another great designer leaving SL. Adreahna Vlodovic is closing [AV] and has thus marked down the entire store at L$1 per item. There’s a tonne of stuff here (lovers of vintagewear will be in heaven), and everything is just one Linden dollar. No pics; just get your pixel butts over to the store.

A blazing good gift at SF Design!

SF Design‘s September freebie is this fabulous blue blazer. When you land, to your left is the womenswear store and to your right is the menswear store. Both of them have a free blazer set out for L$0!

Mar headed to the lovely Weston Marina for her photoshoot, and opted for yellow accessories. The Maya bag is just L$5 from Chuculet, and the Everyday Hoops earrings are just L$1 from the top floor discount room at Ticky Tacky. Other items worn include: The Peiran shirt by Axel (an old group gift), Dante shoes and Voyage sunglasses by Kalnins (not free, or even cheap; sorry!) and the L$10 Kerava Shorts from the Glam Affair/Beauty Avatar Couture discount room. Hey there, Cinderella. Got a ball to go to and you’re still in your newbie rags? Mar’s teamed them with the L$10 Katiuscia dress in peach, from the Glam Affair/Beauty Avatar Couture discount room (see this post for how to get there). You’ll need to edit the skirt of the dress; see towards the end of this post for instructions (it’s really simple!)

SF Design has its new July freebies for men and women out, and both are fabby sarongs (c’mon boys; get your Beckham on! *g*) and prim-toed Ramses sandals with a great HUD for skin and pedicure colour customisation. Mar’s teamed hers with a L$1 tank top from the upstairs discount section at A Piece of Candy, and a L$10 tote bag from the upstairs discount section at Baby Monkey. Now all I need is a beach!
