Pixel pretties and a giggle

For a very limited time only, Pixeldolls have two samples of dresses available free at their Nakama location. For a while now, at their mainstore location, they have been giving a sample of their new releases in a single colour, so that customers can try them out. Mar headed over to the Nakama location to pick up the new dresses, and they’re gorgeous.

These are free for a very limited time. You’ll find them on the floor under the main ads for the dresses. But that’s not all you can pick up at that location! Hop behind the cut for some lovely retro-style swimsuits that double as nice tops, plus a giggly gift from Baby Monkey’s group.

Summer Blues

SF Design has its new July freebies for men and women out, and both are fabby sarongs (c’mon boys; get your Beckham on! *g*) and prim-toed Ramses sandals with a great HUD for skin and pedicure colour customisation. Mar’s teamed hers with a L$1 tank top from the upstairs discount section at A Piece of Candy, and a L$10 tote bag from the upstairs discount section at Baby Monkey. Now all I need is a beach!

Freebies for the Fourth

Okay, okay. After this morning’s upset I wasn’t going to make this post, but it’s not fair on my readers to let certain people make me grumpy enough to stop posting. So, for all you fabulous USians, here are three freebie and dollarbie outfits from XstreetSL to celebrate Independence Day :)

If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air…

It’s a glorious and sunny day here in the UK today, and Mar went hopping around the grid in search of swimwear. What she found was a new bikini and pareo set at Wanderer the Wind, in Trenza. Join the Nenashigusa Nest group and head upstairs in the store with your group tag active.

The set is a group item camp, which means you must have your group tag active, and sit in the beanbag chair for 40 minutes in order to earn the item. It’s a perfect time to get some inventory-sorting done (Mar cleared out almost 200 unwanted items while she sat) and you can see a countdown of how many seconds you have left. The chair will sometimes have someone sitting in it, so if that’s the case, wander downstairs and try your hand at the lucky boards (again, group-only) and check out the cheap items on the shelves upstairs by the camping chair. They have some beautiful lingerie items from as little as L$1 (average price L$25). Mar grabbed some of those, too, so hop behind the cut for more pics!

New collection at The Dressing Room Blue

The Dressing Room Blue (another variant of The Dressing Room) has set out its new collection, and in it you’ll find everything from frocks to hair, jewellery to poses. Mar snapped up some of the items to showcase here, and put together some fabby looks! Both Dressing Rooms feature cut-price items from some of Second Life’s top designers, and while they tend to be a tad above the remit of this blog nothing costs more than L$70, so I make an exception for both of them ;)

Summer by design

Here’s a midweek quickie from me! SF Design’s latest in-store freebie for the girls is this great summer set of red cargo cut-offs with a cropped floral top.
