SL for Nowt

Living a digital life with empty pockets

Snow joke!

The new monthly freebie from SF Design (male and female versions available) is a gorgeous, snuggly-warm red duffle jacket. Mar decided to wrap up warm and head off to Toggenburg sim for some winter fun!

Hop behind the cut for more pics and info on everything else she’s wearing!

This was a lovely, cheapie look! The hair is Magika’s freebie Casual style, from The Gnubie Store. Mar tinted the cap red (it’s actually a pale grey, but tints rather well). Her boots are the L$5 Kemewa Boots in red, from Chuculet. Pants are from the L$25 Love Kills set in the Bargain Basement at Sn@tch, and gloves are L$5 from Magi Take (Mar tinted them a bit darker, as the black colour was actually a mid-grey). Her shirt is from the male section in the Beauty Avatar Couture Discount Room, and it’s the L$10 Washington Shirt in black. Mar’s skin is from the group gift by Belleza that’s just gone out. It’s L$250 to join the group, and at the moment you’ll find in group notices a preview pack of the Erika skin, in six tones.

There’s tons of wintry fun to be had at the top of the mountain in Toggenburg sim. Free skis (male and female, with ski poles) and automated downhill skiing (just sit on a poseball and it’ll take you down), sledging for one or two avatars, snow tubing for one or two avatars, and tobogganing for up to six avatars. In Wengen sim next door you’ll find the cosy Chalet Linden, for a little après ski ;)

Go grab your free jacket, snuggle up nice and warm, and head out for some snowy fun!

  1. A friend clued me in on something cool at SF Design that I’ll put here in case it helps someone else, because we are all getting a lot of cute winter hats this year. I got a great one in a hunt, but in order to size it big enough so my hair didn’t stick through it it had to be huge. At SF Design in the men’s section, there is a free set of “hat hairs” that look adorable on women and they tuck right into winter caps.

That does look like a fun sim!

    • I remember seeing those hat hairs at SF Design, AK, and they’re a great idea. You could, of course, always copy and edit your own hair, but that can end up being a lot of work, so having readymade ones is brilliant :)
