New, additional default avatars in your inventory!
Open up the Library section of your inventories, peeps! Inside, tons of new and additional default avatars have suddenly materialised, courtesy of Adam n Eve, who have made the last two sets of default avatars you can choose from when signing up. Not only are those avatars still available, but there are new male and female avatars for: action, average, Bollywood, cosplay, cyborg, and fantasy. There’s a plethora of goodies to be had inside, and don’t forget you don’t have to wear the whole thing at once! You can mix and match, pulling hair from one folder, skins from another, boots from a third, then mashing them all together with an outfit from somewhere else entirely if you like!
Hop behind the cut for a closer look at each new avatar, plus instructions on how to transfer the library items to your main inventory folders.
With all of these avatars you’ll get everything you see here, from shapes, skins, hair, clothing, to footwear and accessories. Everything is included. Also, for those of us not yet using Viewer 2, there are no ‘special’ items that can only be worn by users of that viewer. Everything is still on the traditional clothing layers, so you won’t miss out on extra tattoo layers or alpha masks, which is great news!
The quickest way to get these avatars into your main inventory is to copy them across. First, close the main section of your inventory, by clicking on it, then open up the library by clicking on that and navigating to Clothing > Initial Outfits. You’ll find all of the default outfits in there (and if you didn’t know about all of the extra designer hairstyles that went into your library during the last new avatar push, check out the Accessories section further down!)
Open up a new Inventory window (File > New Window) and create a new folder with the name of the avatar on it. I gave mine quite a detailed name, as I wanted to remember that it was a default avatar, created by Adam n Eve:
Open the library folder for the avatar, click the first item, hold down the Shift key, and click the last item. Then, right-click in your selected area and choose Copy:
Move to your newly-created folder, right-click on it and choose Paste:
Open the new folder and all of the items for the avatar will now be inside. From there, all you have to do to wear the avatar is right-click on the folder name and choose ‘Add to outfit’ (be aware that Add to Outfit will add anything inside the folder to an outfit you’re already wearing, whereas Replace Outfit will replace everything you’re wearing with just the folder’s contents, so you’ll stop wearing anything else you had on, such as an AO) –
