Beautiful Brides on a Budget

Weddings are big business in Second Life, and they can cost big money too. Wherever you can save money, you should, and so to that end Mar has dug around and found a few items to help you along on your big day. Blushing brides (and much paler ones!) read on, because I have your dress and veil, your hair, your shoes, and a lovely tropical bouquet for those beach weddings.

Here are two bridal looks. Tropical White Wedding:

And Gothic Bride:

Hop behind the cut for more pics and where to find these items!

The first look is that of a classic bride: wearing a lovely white dress with veil, her hair in an up-do and strung through with pearls, and with white shoes. Because the bouquet that I found for free was a tropical one, I went in search of a beach. These pics are shot at the beautiful Bora Bora Public Beach (you’ll land on the volcano, so be careful! Fly Southeast to find the beach).

The dress and veil are free from Marinoco Fashion. You can get them here at XstreetSL.

The hair is the free Sophia Hair in coral by Beautiful Dirty Rich, and it comes with a plain version, one strung with pearls (shown here) and one with a lace accessory. Only the coral colour of this hair is free.

The shoes (not shown) are the elegant and multi-purpose colour-change Chunky Stilettos from House of Curios. At just L$10 and with a ton of different colour options, you’ll find they take you from the office to a night out and on to a wedding with no problem at all.

The bouquet is the free Tropical Bride Bouquet by Sebastian Saramago, and it comes with Bridesmaid’s bouquets, too (which are copy and transfer, so you can hand them out to your bridesmaids and Maid of Honour). Who is going to catch Mar’s bouquet? Get ready, girls! In this pic you can also see Mar’s Diamond Elegance Choker, which is a freebie from Alyssa Bijoux Jewelry.

What bride can resist showing off her ring? This is the beautiful freebie Bijoux diamond wedding ring (male and female versions included) by Inca Temple. The picture here doesn’t do it justice; you need to see this in-world. There’s no bling, but the ring shines beautifully.

Mar’s second wedding look is the Gothic Bride. Again, the dress and veil are freebies from Marinoco Fashion (here on XstreetSL).

The shoes, as before, are House of Curios colour-change Chunky Stilettos, at L$10. One click and they’re black, as befits the Gothic Bride.

Sadly, I couldn’t find a dark bouquet for free on Xstreet, but a single red or black rose held in the hand would be a good look for this bride.

The hair is the Bonita dollarbie from ETD’s discount room (the store seems to be unavailable right now; whether that’s an SL issue or whether it’s being remodelled, I’m afraid I don’t know). You’ll get a ton of colours in the fatpack, but Mar is wearing the black colour.

All jewellery as before, and the location is the spooky castle at Blood Mountain.

    • Oh damn! She has? That’s sad news indeed. The discount section at ETD was one of the best places to send newbies for great quality hair and clothing. It always makes me so sad when a great creator like Elika has to shut up shop :(
