Living a digital life with empty pockets

Candy Girl

Who doesn’t love candy? Who doesn’t love cheap candy? Who doesn’t love A Piece of Candy and their cheaper-than-cheap 1L$ section?

That’s where Mar headed today, to put together two sassy n’ cheap avatars. Together with a trip to ETD’s discount section for hair and shoes, and quick stopovers at the FabFree store for one jacket, Gnubie Store for one suit, and Magi Take for a fab fatpack of sneakers, she put together two great looks.

The first features a dollarbie skin called Stacey 3, a dollarbie teal top, and dollarbie grey pants: all from A Piece of Candy. The shoes and hair are dollarbies from ETD (the hair is 1L$ for a huge fatpack of colours) and the earrings are freebies from Opium. Altogether, this look cost just 5L$!

The second look is a classy and dangerous redhead with a bit of a twist! The skin is a dollarbie called Lola 7 from A Piece of Candy, the top is another A Piece of Candy dollarbie, the pants are from 4Yip’s free black and white suit (Gnubie Store), and the jacket is from the Modd.G freebie at the FabFree store. The hair is another ETD fatpack dollarbie, called Bonita. The sneakers are the most expensive item in this look, but at just 45L$ for a fatpack of seven colours, I call that a bargain! The earrings are the same as in the first pic; I just tinted them green to match the top.

  1. Thank you for the links to ETD and “A piece of candy”. Brilliant! Oh, and I got the free shoes from R2 as well – fantastic. So many freebies look like just what they are… cheap and nasty, but the stuff you have recommended is classy!

  2. Hi, Petal :)

There are lots of good freebies out there, but I agree that there are equal amounts of ‘bad’ freebies. Unfortunately, most of these can be found in giant ‘freebie warehouses’ and other such places, where the content is the same old rubbish (old stuff from way back, and ripped/stolen content) and those places always come up in search when newbies look for ‘freebies’.

I always recommend freebie blogs (and not just my own!) to newbies, as a way of finding great free stuff as opposed to the bad stuff. I’m glad my posts have helped you to find some fab items :)
